One
level storage and retrieval system. A major manufacture of spooled
wire products needed a system for spool storage and sortation
prior to shipping. The photo only shows a small portion of the
system set up for run off. The actual system had twenty storage
lanes on each side. The heart of the system is a “mole-car”
that is contained in the main transfer car running between the
storage lanes. The main car would be loaded by a fork truck operator
on the receiving end and the load moved to the proper lane and
then the mole car would deliver the load to the last open position
in the lane. Controls allowed for input as to the items to be
stored, truck loading sequence and then for removal in the proper
order. |
